The Governor’s Night at the CARASUC Meet was a vibrant affair, featuring captivating performances by the Performing Arts Club of Apayao State College. Under the direction of the socio-cultural coordinator, Mr. Don John N. In his address, the college president shared a meaningful quote by Jesse Owens, highlighting the lasting bonds formed through sports: ‘Friendships born on the field of athletic strife are the real gold of competition. Awards become corroded, friends gather no dust.’ He also emphasized the importance of building bridges instead of walls and painted a vivid picture of solidarity and camaraderie, urging everyone to work together towards a brighter future. He underscored that the CARASUC Meet goes beyond mere medals and trophies; it’s about cementing the legacy of solidarity and camaraderie.

Similarly, on behalf of the Provincial governor, Ms. Verlie Mae Baldovino, Executive Assistant III, delivered an inspirational message. She emphasized the importance of overcoming personal challenges and pushing oneself beyond limits to discover one’s capabilities. She called for the athletic meet to celebrate the human spirit, highlighting perseverance and inner strength. She also expressed her gratitude to the coaches, officials, and organizers for their dedication in making the event possible, with a reminder to support and cheer for the athletes while embracing the values taught by sports.

Adding to the prestigious lineup at the program were Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan Jr., the CHED Regional Director, and Hon. Josephine M. Bangsil, Luna Municipal Mayor.
